I sent a message to hasbro, someone gave contact info on boardgamegeeks. Go to hasbro.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/hasbro.cfg/php/enduser/as... and let them know you're mad as hell. Then, tomorrow, during business hours call Hasbro games at 888-836-7025 and let them know again. *** My message was basically: I sent them an angry message about how the majority of people who support HeroScape are not 8 year olds, but rather miniature wargame afficianados, and they we're mad as hell that they shut down what was a central nexus for us fans. And that by doing so, it puts in serious question our support of their product, as their move seems very spiteful. Also, I hope that they will allow www.heroscape.net to return to their regulary scheduled broadcast. That was the gist of it... anyway, maybe I'm jumping to conclusions, but I don't think I am.

Ok, here's what we need to do. Go to hasbro.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/hasbro.cfg/php/enduser/ask.php and let them know you're mad as hell. Then, tomorrow, during business hours call Hasbro games at 888-836-7025 and let them know again. Let them know that you're mad that the site was shut down apparently under pressure from Hasbro. Make sure that they understand that part of the value of Heroscape to you was the vibrant online community supporting it, and that their product simply has far less value to you without this online community. Stress that you're less likely to buy future Hasbro products as a result of this action, and that the obvious rememdy would be to work with the site administrator to get the site back up in a form that is acceptible to all parties. To be most effective there needs to be an overwhelming and immediate response, so please take the time NOW to send them an email. I've posted a similar message at BGG. Truth, would you mind adding something similar on your site? And if anyone else knows of places hs.netters have scattered to, let them know as well. Hopefully Hero and Hasbro can reach an acceptible compromise on this and we'll all be home again soon. --Elstree

For the time being, is this where we're going to be meeting? I'm more than happy to set up a temp album and some of the features that we had at HS.net at bigsimon.com (or any other domain I have, if the name's a problem). I don't mean to take the place of HS.net, and hope that it comes back up soon because it's been a great community... but I'd like to do what I can to help keep it all together.

For the time being, is this where we're going to be meeting? I kind of looks like it. I was never happy with the message board layouts at BGG.

It is a Gencon exclusive figure. I would have referred you to the long thread about it on heroscape.net, but that is gone for now.

I really feel for you long-term guys, I only joined HS.net last week but had become really addicted. What Hasbro have done really sucks big time.
Don't let this be the end of this group, guys like you are the lifeblood that keeps our hobby alive.
Heroscape.net forum is dead, long live the Heroscape.net community.

Man, without the avatars it's like talking in a dark room.
Does anyone else feel like the ship just sank in the night, and we're all looking around to see who found the lifeboat?

I am stunned...I just got done posting elsewhere that this was unlikely Hasbro's doing, and I see all of this. Someone besides Hero owes us a explanation. Hero and the rest of the site have given TONS to this game. The management owes us an explanation. After watching corporations like WOTC and WIZKIDS toy with fans (no pun intended) I thought that we were safe with Hasbro. Maybe they don't need us? Is this an indication that they are turning their backs on the gamers? I have spent enough on this game to be given an explanation as to why they would restrict our creativity... oh, and by the way...THANK YOU HERO AND ALL THE REST!!!! HS.NET ROCKED!!!!

I even miss Reaper's antics! And where are TB and EXO?! And Teamski is sure to be in for a shock... GAH! This is ridiculous...

Please, anyone that has personal E-mail addresses from our HS family, mail them and send them here.....we need to unite and plan a counteroffensive. A campaign to let them know they made a mistake.

Hey!! I was shocked too. I'll be at GenCon and hope to speak to Hero about it. I know he is probably upset about it. I also want to show my appreciation to Hero for the great site (and all the crap that goes into keeping a site running and alive), to G-bob, Bunjee, Cham and Hex for all the work you guys did and the all the great peeps I've meet online. Let's keep it alive peeps!

I am REALLY pissed off right about now.
Unfortunately, I'm REALLY hungry, too, so I'll grab a bite, then come back and vent about this tragic f-ing mistake Hasbro's made.
