Hay Exo here I just came here. and so is anybody going to make a new site? I really feel like part of my world is gone. But can someone email me the gen con pictures? Hi Exo! Glad to see you're still with us! Yes, a guy named Glasswalker is setting up a new site at heroscapehq.com. It has Hero's endorsement so most of the community will likely migrate over there. It's still a little slow since it's being hosted on a development server, but that will eventually change. UranusP set up this temporary site and it seems to be where people are hanging out while waiting for the transition.

Hey everyone. As a long time lurker of .net I have to wonder how many other lurkers have been following this too. I know heroscape.net always fired me up about the game, and then I would go and fire my friends up about the game after reading new info on .net.
On behalf of the lurkers (if I may be so bold), even though we don't post nearly as much as the regs, we still have an enormous appreciation for Hero and the awesome community .net spawned. I don't blame Hero at all for what happened.
I will be lurking the these forums now for a clue about what to wear when I visit the Gencon on saturday. I want to show my support of this community, and I think GenCon is definitely the place to make a statement.
I'm torn up about this too. The one thing that I do think is awesome about all this is that the community is still intact, and that's a little happiness in this crappy situation.

Ok, I dont see it anywhere.
I think the only way to really let people know what happened is to tell other people. At least I would feel better.
I think an old plan was to write our forum names on our badges. I think i read in this thread that we could make our own T-shirts (with a sharpie marker, im guessing)
I'm going to wear "Heroscape.net: CornPuff" on something at gencon. Any better suggestions are appreciated.

Lucas did this six or seven years ago and it darn near killed his gaming. Hasbro really needs to watch cutting the hands off its fans.
And what does RobD have to say about all this? He was a semi-regular on Heroscape.net

Well I went to .net today and all I can say is W...T....F!! Total surprise. There is really nothing to say that has not already been said by all of the other loyal .netters. I feel like I have been sucker punched like the rest of you.
Thanks Hero for the only site that I have been this excited about and involved in. I felt like .net was my home on the internet.
The only thing that can replace .net is .net. Any new site just won't be the same, but I am not going to give up.

Hero,
All the best. Long-time member, infrequent poster. Good luck with your cycling, climbing, and (most importantly) your family. I've volunteered a lot of time on a few projects and I know what you're talking about on your last posting. You don't realize how much time you're putting in until you back away for a while. No matter how much you love it or how much you care for the people and the group, there is that sense of relief when it's over. Doesn't mean the community will go away. I'm sure this one won't. Having said that, it also will never be quite the same when someone as instrumental as you leaves the scene.
Good luck, great job,
-TBrahe

well, I was gone for about a month, and then all of a sudden, .net is closed. The good news is that this will save me a ton on heroscape expansions, and I won't waste time driving to and from toys r us checking for heroscape products. I never found them anyway. what a bust. Glad to see all y'all here, hope to keep on communicating with you, both on and off topic.

If you don't believe Hasbro would do something like this, you don't know Hasbro very well. They are nazis when it comes to this kinda shit, and I say, we make sure they can't do it! boycott their products for a while, hit them where it hurts!
