;D ;D Hey everyone,
I live in Costa Rica, on Vacation here in Ohio and stumbled upon Heroscape, OK I found it thourgh Knights of the dinner table, but I am loveing it. i BOUGHT 2 SETS. I got the bridge expansion set ,a nd am pretyy disoppointed that hasbro only put one design in the instructions, plus I am pretty sure you need at least part of a scond master set to get the one playing field they do outline. The 2 battles they give you are OK ( nothing for basic, although I can't imagine many people play basic for long ), I like the reinforcement idea!!! Just seeing wheat others think of the bridge set>

What do I think of the bridge set?
River crossings are ALWAYS traditionally decent scenarios for tactical games, history books and military fiction both written and filmed.
But thinking you can can make the playable heroscape version of "Bridge over the River Kwai" with the scant offerings of a single Forgotten Forest set is more laughable than trying to make a Vietnamese jungle inspired scenario with the few enclosed trees. Scant.
And the army they give you. The dum(b)utef guard? Good on road spaces, but throwaway everywhere else. Why not pick a fantasy character known for terrorizing travelers at bridges and be consistent for once? Such as a highwayman, a big troll, or maybe even the three billy goats gruff?
Final verdict, good, but you need more than one set to make it a factor especially if you are using flying units. If MB wants this game to really endure, they are gonna have to start releasing thier terrain in bulk. Much as in the case of the lava set we have a figure that works best with the sections of road he comes included with, but is otherwise unremarkable.
