Hey all.
First post here... Looks to be afun place. Well, to start things off, I was introduced to miniatures gaming by a friend, and add that to my love of comic books, I was of course led to WizKid's Heroclix game. Well, this passion led to others, and I eventually discovered HEROSCAPE! Well, being one who normally enoys combining his passions, I decided to find a way to bring the two together. So, I discovered that with a bit of tinkering with the stats, Heroclix members can be used in the Heroscape game! Think of it... Captain America Vs. Sgt. Drake Alexander! Thor Vs. Taelord! Epic confrontations all...
So, my conversion process is thus:
First off, look at the character you want to convert. Think of his personality, and his defining traits. This will help you to determine which Valkeryie general to place them under... (for instance: Moon Knight. Shady, moves in and out of dark places=Vydar, like the Krav Maga Agents.) Then you look at what they are, (Human, mutant, ghost, etc) to determine what species they are, then class, (superhero, soldier, vigilante, police, etc.) Same with the personality. (Moon Knight: Tricky) Now, you can also make squads out of the more generic Heroclix types, (SHIELD Agents, Checkmate Agents, cops and soldiers.) However I consider all other to be unique. Now as to the normal stats, most Herocli figures have corresponding stats on their bases. For Moon Knight, I took his HeroCLIX move rate, (8) and cut it in half. Now with the four move, I did the same with his 8 attack too. He had a defense of fifteen, so I rounded that down to ten. (These stats will sometimes have to be altered based on your knowledge of the character.)
Now the tircky part, the special powers. This is where it comes in handy to be a HUGE nerd as I am. See, in the comics, Moon Knight was a ghost ressurected by an Egyptian God, so I gave him a power that lets him come back to life once after he's been destoryed.
Clear as mud? good.
Once again, great to be here.
