I have e-mailed Hasbro. I asked them why they took the site down and what the were ticked about. Hopefully they will send me the parts that they had a problem with. I will post them here, so hero and all of you can change .net or make a new non-offensive site to hasbro. I wasn't here for long, but I really enjoyed .net. I'm really bumed out.

Interesting...I wonder if they will even reply--I'm not so sure they will. I guess we'll find out.

I did the same. hasbro.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/hasbro.cfg/php/enduser/ask.phpSelect "Games (NOT SOFTWARE)" as the Product, then select "HeroScape" in the field that appears just below. I also recommend selecting "Consumer Satisfaction" as the Category. They give you a ticket number that you can track through the Customer Service process. You can see when your mail has been read, and will receive a reply with a resolution of some kind. I suggest we all do this. One piece of advice: You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Be nice. Hopefully, if enough of us do this, the issue will be elevated and get some notice.

Hasbro responded to the email I sent yesterday. Here's what they said:
(from someone named "Charlotte")

I figured we would get some lame reply like that, but we should still KEEP SENDING THEM IN. Like I said, even though we'll all get lame responses, if enough of the messages keep hitting their customer service desks, it will get elevated.

Hero doesn't want everybody to send emails to Hasbro. Yeah, but why not? If it is causing grief for the designers, why not tell us how, or tell us what we could ask of Hasbro? Here's the thing. I know a few people that work for Hasbro, and I like most of them quite a bit. I wouldn't intentionally do something that hurts the guys I like, but if they don't tell me what's going on, I'm not as inclined to offer blanket, blind-faith assistance that doesn't make sense to me. It makes sense to write Hasbro and ask exactly what we can put on our site. If Hasbro writes back with some reasonable information, that would change my mind entirely. If they hide behind their briefcases and power ties, it just enforces that they don't give two shits about the fans, just the fans' money. It doesn't make sense to just throw up our hands and say, 'Hero's got his reasons.' It makes sense to ask questions and look for information. It makes sense to try to foster a good working relationship with the game we want to support. It doesn't make sense to accept a beating and not wonder what we did wrong.

I don't think that Hero was giving a blanket statement of send no emails. I think it was more along the intent of don't send emails that will just do more harm. I certainly see nothing wrong with being informed, especially if we are going to keep this thing going. Why not get from the horse's mouth what they will allow and disallow on a fansite? I think it is the very least that Hasbro can do.

and sending too may emails may really cause harm to the wrong people. remember Rob and Craig work there and were very close to .net. We could actually cause them more damage than we think by sending in all the emails asking what happened.
Like mentioned earlier, be "nice" and you may get some info. but I think most letters will be along the lines of the response above. They are not the law firm, they can't really give out too much info about non hasbro controlled sites.
