ELENTAR THE
CLOUD CHAMPION
Hailing from a world of misty skies and craggy peaks, Elentar was taught to ride upon the backs of the fiercest of griffins before he could even walk, in preparation for participating in the many clan wars that sprang up like mushrooms after rain storms. Though his efforts were renowned in his land for their steadfast courage and tactical brilliance, Elentar always longed for mightier battles, something higher to strive against than the mere political bickerings of his short-sighted kinsmen. He found that longing fulfilled by a summons from the general Jandar, and now he soars through the clouds of Valhalla, training the claws of his griffin on friend or foe for purposes of transport or mayhem, as appropriate.

LANDARIAN
CLOUD WARRIORS
When one of their greatest war-leaders, Elentar, was called to Valhalla, many of his loyal followers came likewise, searching for greater glory in battle for a noble cause. Unlike their leader, they ride no flying beast, but their training as Landarians has taught them how to take down aerial opponents, and their mighty legs allow them to make incredibly leaps through the air, enhancing their mobility to an extent that would shock any enemies who are used to ground troops staying on the... well, ground.

LANDARIAN
SKY GUARD
Though rather scorned by the ground troops of their homeworld for being somewhat pampered and foppish (their helmets' azure plumes making themselves a regular target of ridicule), no one can question the devotion or courage of the Sky Guard. Serving as elite bodyguards, moving with their royal leaders and taking down anything that might threaten the highborn, their training has granted them a steadiness of hand and sharpness of vision that any would envy. Due to the aerial-focused nature of their wars, the Sky Guard is especially adept at sending their elegantly-carved arrows into the bellies of those above them, leading to a nasty surprise for any flying creature that thinks fleeing to greater heights will keep it safe from assault.
