I mean today...didn't realize it was 3:55am already--I bought two more bridge sets today...kinda excited about that--but I might have to take a break from HS b/c school is starting soon and I don't have any lecture prepared yet. Need to get working on that shorlty.

I want to add in my thanks to Hero for providing such an awesome place for us to hang out for the past year or so.
There are a lot of great ideas that have been "lost" due to the board closure. Hero, is there any way you could prop up the site for a short window while each of us recovers what is important to us?
My concern is not so much with the custom units or maps (as I'm sure the creators of those items will make them available again), but rather with the message posts themselves. It would be great to have a period of time where we can scour the posts for the variants/ideas that will otherwise disappear into the void.

Well, like I said, that only gives us access to the files, which isn't what concerns me.
I don't want to lose all of the great ideas in the posts. Not every great idea or variant was put into file format and uploaded to the gallery.

CB has a good point (as usual). Foolishly, I didn't make backups of some of the posts I did on my units, and I wouldn't mind being able to salvage the stuff....

Hero, thank you. Thank you first of all for the thoughtful letter. You didn't have to but I, and I am sure everyone else, will respect the first paragraph. Least we can do. Thank you for the gift of your time and money. Originally I was just looking for a place that had pictures of this cool new game I had heard about. I never intended to make heroscape.net a part of my daily life. But I ended up doing so, and what a great time I had. I tip my hat to you sir.

Hero, glad to see you are still occasionally around. And Malechi too!
Hero - thanks for supporting the best game resource I've come across. My sadness at (temporarily) losing contact with people, even Reaper, was testament to how used to you I've become. I lurk a lot unless I have something specific to say, but I really enjoyed Heroscape.net.
